Building Regs For Brick Shed

Building regulations do state that structures built of combustible material (i.e. a wooden shed) must be at least 2 metres from the main house. so my shed needs to be at least one metre from my next door neighbour's garden but if it's made out of wood it needs to be at least 2 metres from the main house.. If it's a timber shed, then you can put it where you like, if it's a brick built single skinned shed, then it has to go at least 1 metre from your boundary fence. building regulations don't cover temporary structures like sheds, greenhouses or wendy houses, this is why they are called *building* regs, anything else can be taken down and shifted.. While this criterion is one of the rules for outbuildings, crane garden buildings does not sell buildings for use as self-contained living accommodation; this is because buildings for this purpose need to comply with the strict rules of building regulations, which our buildings do not..

"building regulations exist to ensure the health, safety and welfare of people in the building and the energy efficiency of the building". building regulations (not to be confused with planning permission) are concerned with how a structure is designed, built and insulated.. 2. the ground area covered by the shed/greenhouse/building and any other buildings within the boundary of the property, excluding the original house, is not more than half the total area of the property.. Looking to add a brick shed to your backyard? an outdoor shed is a great answer to many little obstacles, whether you want a mini-garage for your new motorcycle, or a storage shed for your lawnmower and other outdoor tools..
