Keeping goats in your country backyard can not only provide you with entertaining and educational pets but also goat milk and the promise of delicious cheese as well. goats need shelter, however, and sheds and barns can be pricey. solve the problem by building a sturdy goat house with wood pallets.. When i got home me & my son started the project, it was quite simple. we put one pallet on blocks and got it level, put plywood ( which i had here) down on top of the pallet for the subfloor then took some old standard size pallets i had and stood them on their end for the sides then lifted the other 8x8 pallet on top of the whole thing for a roof.. The pallets were completely free and comprise most of the structure. the 2x4s used were approximately $32, roofing $120, t-posts $28. if we had had a source.
