It's springtime and anyone that owns a husky knows what that means...winter coat needs to come off! this video is meant to show anyone interested in getting a husky what happens when it's time for. Siberian huskies do shed more when they blow their coats in the spring and fall, but if your dog is itchy, has bald spots or loses hair by the handful, it could indicate an underlying illness. consider spaying your female, as heat cycles also lead to excessive shedding.. Most huskies shed their coats twice per year, once in the spring and again in the fall, but a few huskies shed only once annually, usually in the spring. in extremely warm climates (think desert or tropics) some huskies may shed continually..
Huskies shed so much their hair could be used to make more huskies. i deal with it everyday - because not only do i groom them in my shop, but i own a few of them as well. thankfully, over time i've learned every trick of the trade, and i've cut down husky shedding in my home by a significant margin.. I have my husky professionally groomed at least 5-6 times a year. i also believe that the better the food they eat the less they shed. i give them sardines mixed in with their dinners. also the more you groom them the better, the shedding isn't as bad. my boy is a husky x kelpie so he doesnt have as. Some huskies can be prone to food allergies which will lead to excessive shedding, itchy dry skin, bald patches and other problems. read the labels on the dog food to find a brand that uses quality animal proteins (chicken, lamb, beef etc.) over those with fillers (protein by-products, meals, grains etc.)..
